World's Loudest Purr? 3 Cat World Records!

cat, cats

We all know cats can do amazing things. But some are especially gifted!

Did you know about these 3 world-record-setting cats?

A happy cat named Smokey set the world record for the loudest purr in 2013. [1]

At 67.8 decibels, this is about the same level of noise as a normal conversation.

A clever cat named Alexis performed a whopping 26 tricks in one minute!

"Alexis is trained with positive reinforcement and a clicker and gets a treat and/or compliment after every single trick," said Alexis's guardian.

Check out this video to watch Alexis in action!

A healthy and lucky cat named Creme Puff was born in 1967 and died in 2005 – 38 years and 3 days old! [3]

These record-setters were born with some special traits.

But how many cats with amazing abilities go undiscovered?

The tragic reality is hundreds of millions of cats will never have the chance to be loved by a guardian who appreciates their unique skills and personalities. Most stray cats only live about 2 to 5 years. In many countries around the world, cats are brutally poisoned and suffer a slow and painful death as a result of the overpopulation crisis.

That’s why our mission is to end the number 1 cause of suffering and death for dogs and cats -- overpopulation -- by developing a permanent-lasting birth control cookie that will only need to be eaten one time, and it will in effect spay or neuter -- without surgery.

Join the fight against the number 1 cause of suffering for dogs and cats for as little as $5 a month!

Thanks for everything you do for animals!
