Need some good news today? Here are three positive stories about animals from around the world!Â

Diesel the donkey got spooked and ran away from his guardians during a hiking trip near Clear Lake, California, in 2019. [1]
Â
In June 2024, a hiker filmed a donkey living with a group of wild elk. Dieselâs guardians saw the video and are confident the donkey is Diesel!Â
Relieved that he is safe, the couple decided to let him remain free as a "wild burro." [1]
Â
âHe's living his best life. He's happy. He's healthy, and it was just a relief," said Terrie Drewry, Dieselâs former guardian. [1]

41 illegally captured parrots were released into a nature reserve in Guatemala! Many of the parrots had been confiscated from a hotel in 2021, where they were found trapped in wooden boxes as a part of an illegal wildlife trafficking scheme. [2]
After spending several years at a rehabilitation center, they were carefully released into the nature reserve to live out their lives naturally and freely.Â

This summer, a humpback whale became tangled up in over 1,700 pounds of fishing equipment in Australia.
Â
Struggling to swim and clearly in distress, the whale was spotted from a helicopter.
It took two days for a multi-agency rescue team to cut away the ropes and buoys, but thankfully, they managed to free the whale, who was described as being in "good spirits." [4]

Our mission is to end the number 1 cause of suffering and death for dogs and cats â overpopulation â by developing a permanent-lasting birth control cookie that will only need to be eaten one time, and it will in effect spay or neuter â without surgery.
The good news: for as little as $5 a month, you can help us stop the suffering before it starts!
Thanks so much for caring about animals!Â
