Despite the heroic efforts of rescuers, and a lot of money spent, the number of animals killed in U.S. shelters went up, not down, in 2021. Surgical spay/neuter is too expensive and is not reaching enough animals. That's why we're working on an innovative solution: the Spay and Neuter Cookie.
