Texas Horse Slaughter

JenThompson

In 1983, Alex worked undercover in Waco, Texas, to expose conditions at the largest horse slaughter operation in the world, where over 30,000 horses suffered.

Working under dangerous conditions, he was repeatedly threatened and shot at by horse ranchers and publicly pursued by the County Sheriff and sheriff’s deputies.

In the end, the world’s largest horse-slaughter company was permanently closed.
