Take Action: Gentle Geese and Ducks Need Help!

Pâté, or foie gras, is made by torturing birds. Tell the USDA: end this torture now!

Pâté, or foie gras, is a "delicacy" made by force-feeding geese and ducks.

Imagine a metal tube shoved down your throat several times a day — bruising and tearing the delicate lining of your throat with each forced insertion, leaving a raw, burning ache.

This is the horrifying reality for geese and ducks tortured to make pâté, or foie gras. Long metal tubes measuring 8-12 inches are violently forced down their windpipes.

Sometimes, the tube pierces through the food pipe, tearing it apart and puncturing other internal organs. This leads to a painful and slow death.

Trapped in tiny wire cages, the injured birds cannot move or stretch their wings. The metal tubes also leave the birds with broken beaks, which prevents them from eating or even closing their mouths properly, further increasing their suffering.

Some die of suffocation before they can be slaughtered.

Ducks deserve freedom, not cages and force-feeding!

The USDA has the power to stop this barbaric practice, which has no place in a civilized world.

Let's stand together and demand a ban on foie gras so that innocent animals will no longer suffer because of this so-called "delicacy" reserved for the wealthy.

Thank you for taking action for animals!

You can help us defend all animals from suffering, and support our mission: to end the number 1 cause of suffering and death for dogs and cats – overpopulation – by developing a permanent-lasting birth control cookie that will only need to be eaten one time, and it will in effect spay or neuter – without surgery.

Please consider a monthly gift of as little as $5.
