Today, we'd like to highlight some inspiring stories about the wonderful things happening for animals around the globe!
An estimated 125 dolphins became stranded in shallow waters near Cape Cod, marking the largest mass stranding event in the area in decades. [1]
Thankfully, with quick action and collaboration between a handful of organizations, almost all of the dolphins were rescued! Unfortunately, around 10 did not make it.
"It was a 12-hour exhausting response in the unrelenting sun, but the team was able to overcome the various challenges and give the dolphins their best chance at survival," said Misty Neimeyer of the International Fund for Animal Welfare. [1]
Soldiers were reunited with stray dogs they met while deployed in the Middle East! Now the dogs have been adopted by the soldiers. [2]
The nonprofit group Paws of War “worked tirelessly” to bring 7 dogs, who had bonded with the soldiers abroad, to the U.S.
“I can tell this is great emotional support for me,” said Specialist Kai Garnette, who reunited with a dog named King. [2]
Sanctuary owner Clare Staples has an amazing mission of reuniting wild mustangs – captured by the Bureau of Land Management – with their original herds. [3]
Staples uses photographs and identifying markings to track down captured mustangs and match them with their family members on her 9,000-acre sanctuary in Bend, Oregon.
We continue to work hard to end the number 1 cause of suffering and death for dogs and cats -- overpopulation -- by developing a permanent-lasting birth control cookie that will only need to be eaten one time, and it will in effect spay or neuter -- without surgery.
We are a small, grassroots nonprofit carrying out work that pharmaceutical companies should be doing -- but they refuse.
We are dedicated to ending this global problem, and a gift of any amount will help. Support our cruelty-free studies and clinical research that saves animals and people at the same time!
You have the power to make a difference for animals now ... for as little as $5 a month!
We hope this brightened your day, and thank you for caring about animals!
