Your voice is urgently needed. Despite the efforts of many, Captain Paul Watson, who has spent his life bravely defending whales and other marine animals, is still being unjustly detained in Greenland.
As he waits in jail, his hearing has been postponed once again. We must act now to prevent him from being extradited to Japan for a possible prison sentence of up to 15 years.
Thank you very much for taking action in August by contacting Denmark's prime minister. Now please also send a message to Denmark's Minister of Justice, a key decision-maker in Captain Watson's case.
The Danish courts are preparing to send Watson to Japan, where he faces a possible 15-year prison sentence — all for defending innocent, gentle whales from being brutally killed.
His arrest involved his interaction with a huge new whale-killing ship, the Kangei Maru. Captain Watson and his brave crew have also risked their freedom to prevent the ship below, the Yushin Maru, from slaughtering defenseless whales.
Since we wrote to you last about Captain Watson, there have been court hearings, but Watson's legal team was denied the opportunity to present critical evidence. This makes your voice even more vital in securing his release.
For over half a century, Paul Watson has risked his life to protect whales and other marine animals from cruel slaughter. Now it's our turn to fight for him.
Let’s show the world that protecting innocent animals is not a crime!
