3 out of 4 kittens won’t survive “kitten season…”

Countless kittens will die painful deaths this "kitten season."
Countless kittens will die painful deaths this "kitten season."

Kitten season is here.

It may sound cute, but tragically, it is a season of death and despair for countless kittens.

As the days get longer and the weather warms up, female cats go into heat every 2-3 weeks.

Cats can get pregnant as early as 4 months old and have multiple litters a year, leading to an explosion of kittens with nowhere to go.

Tiny, fragile kittens are being born into a brutal world, alone, hungry, and freezing. Many are abandoned under bushes, in dumpsters, or on the sides of busy roads.

Without food or care, their cries grow weaker each day until, eventually, they fall silent.

Most kittens won’t make it…

Studies show that 3 out of 4 kittens born on the streets die before they are 6 months old, often from disease, starvation, or being hit by cars.

Every animal deserves a safe home!
Every animal deserves a safe home!

For the lucky few that make it to a shelter, they still face a grim reality: most shelters don’t have the resources to care for

newborn kittens who don’t have mothers, who require around-the-clock feeding and care.

Many kittens are killed the same day they arrive at the shelter.

This suffering is preventable.

We have the power to stop the endless cycle of stray overpopulation.

At 600 Million Dogs, we’re developing a groundbreaking one-time birth control Cookie to prevent unwanted litters before they’re born — ending the cycle of suffering at its source.

These kittens can’t wait. Will you help us save them today?

Every kitten deserves love, warmth, and a safe home — not a lonely, painful death.

Thank you so much for caring about animals.
